For 100 kids in the St. Louis area, Ashley HomeStore (AHS), in conjunction with the St. Louis Blues hockey team, gave away an entire bed set to each child on Monday, September 17th.

Ashley HomeStore and the St. Louis Blues hosted a "Hope to Dream" event at Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis. 100 children that did not have beds received a twin mattress set, pillow, sheets and comforter at the event. These children were selected through Ashley HomeStore’s Hope to Dream program, the Blues for Kids program, and the Jackie Joyner-Kersee foundation.

"Hope to Dream" is an initiative started by AHS to provide children in the community who do not have a bed to call their own – their very own bed. A portion of all mattress sales at AHS goes toward supporting the "Hope to Dream" program. To date Ashley HomeStore has given away 60,000 beds to kids all across the United States.

Chad Spencer, President of the Dufresne Spencer Group, the largest licensee of Ashley HomeStore in the USA, is passionate about this program and is excited to bring this event back to St. Louis for the 2nd consecutive year. “We can have the greatest product at the best price, but if we don’t serve the guest and give back to the community that supports us, we are spiritually bankrupt as a company. That’s why events like this and Hope to Dream are so important to us at Ashley HomeStore," says Spencer.

The event also included exciting kid’s activities, including hockey practice on the ice, facility tour, photo booth, food, and gift bags for each of the children.
