Colts Star Kenny Moore II Teams With Ashley to Present New Beds to Local Children in Need

For 60 Indianapolis-area children who go to sleep in domestic violence shelters or in foster care without a bed to call their own, the practice facility at Colts Pavilion may have seemed more like a field of dreams

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 3, 2022) – For 60 Indianapolis-area children who go to sleep in domestic violence shelters or in foster care without a bed to call their own, the practice facility at Colts Pavilion may have seemed more like a field of dreams.

With the team’s 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award nominee Kenny Moore II leading the way, children from four Indianapolis children’s advocacy organizations were surprised with new bed sets complete with pillows, sheets and comforters, all courtesy of Ashley’s Hope to Dream program.

The event was part of a larger 100-bed donation by Ashley’s Hope to Dream program to Indianapolis organizations Coburn Place, Julian Center, Hands of Hope, and A Kid Again.

“Every child deserves a good night’s sleep and the chance to dream big,” says Mackenzie Duffy, community and partnership specialist with Ashley.

Since its inception, Ashley’s national Hope to Dream program has provided fresh, new beds to more than 110,000 children in need.

The Hope to Dream program is part of the home furnishing retailer’s Purchase with Purpose which earmarks a portion of every purchase at Ashley to one of three charitable partners.
