Ashley Furniture Canada and The Dufresne Group believe that every child deserves a better night’s sleep. That’s why TDG’s Ashley team partnered with Hope to Dream, Sealy, Tempur-Pedic, Fairstone Financial and local media partners to embark on the “1,000 Bed Challenge”! From Oct. 19 to 22, 2017, all of these organizations committed their efforts and resources to donate 1,000 mattresses to children in communities across Canada.
Donations were made possible through guests buying a mattress over $999 (which resulted in one mattress being given to the cause), Sealy and Tempur-Pedic making an additional donation for every mattress sold, Fairstone Financial donating $25 after guests made mattress purchases on their Ashley Card, and $5 being donated to the challenge if guests who didn’t need a mattress still took a “rest test” for five minutes in-store.
How did we do on this challenge? An impressive 540 beds were gifted, with 250 of those delivered to children selected by charities in the Greater Toronto Area.
